A recap of Moonshot Initiative's latest networking event for filmmakers
On Monday, July 22, filmmakers gathered at the Chelsea Bell bar in Manhattan to build their networks as part of Moonshot Initiative's summer mixer.
Success in this industry is often about “who you know” — and that’s why we’re committed to helping our filmmakers meet women and non-binary people in every role of production.
We love hearing from attendees that these events have helped them book gigs, find collaborators, and expand their communities. One attendee told us that she met several filmmakers at one of our mixers in 2023, and they've since made a short film together. Another mentioned that they're still in touch with multiple people they met at our Galentine's Day mixer earlier this year. We love that our networking events help create these vital connections!
