About the event

Join us for a virtual workshop with cinematographer Carmen Cabana (CITY ON FIRE, Netflix's RESIDENT EVIL, Marvel & Disney+ series MS. MARVEL, Blumhouse/Amazon's NOCTURNE, and Hulu's HIGH FIDELITY).

We'll chat with Carmen about:

  • her career journey and how she broke into cinematography
  • how the DP collaborates with the director to bring the vision to life
  • the difference between working on TV vs. film as a cinematographer
  • how to create the look and feel of a project, and how her work differs depending on genre
  • tips for breaking in and getting your first TV gig
  • and much more!

Carmen will also give live feedback on a few audience-submitted cinematography reels to help attendees improve their craft and learn how to best present their work for future gigs. (You do NOT need to submit a reel to attend this event. Registered attendees can submit a reel via the link in your confirmation email after purchasing a ticket.)
